12 Filipinos in Forbes’ 2015 billionaires’ list
 MANILA, Philippines – Nine of them were in the 2014 list, a retail power couple returns, plus a former senator join the ranks of Filipinos in the Forbes billionaires’ list for 2015. From 97th in 2014’s ranking, mall magnate Henry Sy, 90, climbed to 73rd spot in the list of the world's 1826 billionaires. Sy still remains the richest man in the Philippines. His net worth of $14.2 billion is due to the continuous growth of his SM Investments Corporation, the largest retailer in the Philippines with over 200 individual outlets around the country.

 The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines Episcopal Commission on Migrants and Itinerant People (CBCP-ECMI) has asked the faithful to pray for the safety and immediate release of the four Filipinos workers who were recently abducted in Libya. “I ask all to join us in praying for the safety of the abdicated Filipinos and for their immediate release,” Balanga Bishop Ruperto Santos, chairman of the CBCP-ECMI, said in an interview.

The new radar speed detectors are being installed along road networks operated by San Miguel, which includes the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), Skyway, Star Tollways and Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX).
